Washing a paint brush in the gutter

Many chemicals get poured down the drain. People no longer need some chemicals so they think it is an easy way to dispose of it. The chemicals can include garden sprays, petrol, car oil, cooking oil and paint.

When paint brushes and rollers are cleaned, some people wash them over a garden drain which is connected to the stormwater drain. All the paint from the brushes and rollers will pollute the water and again eventually find its way into a river or the sea...
