Ports put a region on the international map


Is the suburb or town where you live on the map of Australia? Where is your nearest port? Our cities are on the map because they are important and have large populations. Most of the coastal towns that are on the map of Australia have large ports. Ports are very important places for transporting goods. Ports are essential in linking ships with our rail and road transport systems.
Ports in Australia are linked to the ports of other countries where cargo is being exported to and imported from.
