Rubbish/pollution/stormwater outfall

Rubbish and pollution are washed into the sea from stormwater drains. These drains collect the rainwater from our roads and homes. As they collect the water, they also wash litter and other pollution with them. After rain the sea around stormwater drains can become highly polluted.

In the rockpools many kinds of litter can become stuck. Some of the litter such as broken glass, metal and discarded syringes can be very sharp and cut feet and hands.
