A quick turnaround

Ships are worth a lot of money. It is expensive keeping a ship docked longer than it needs to be.

Ships aim to get to port and move their cargo as quickly as possible so they can go back to sea and get to their next destination. Ships only earn money when they are sailing with cargo. 
When the ship arrives at a port:
  • If it is going to deliver cargo, a space needs to be available on shore for the cargo to be stored.
  • If it is going to take on cargo, the cargo needs to be ready to load.
  • Stevedores and their machinery need to be ready to move the cargo.
