Schools can enter a competition via their local participating Port. Each class can submit their communication project to their local port and judged according to key criteria. First place can choose between an iPad, GoPro , or even a Drone, for the school's Geography Department.
Each participating Ports Australia Member has invited 4 local schools to participate. With over half of our Members participating in the program, and with representation from each state, this means over 5000 children across Australia will be actively using the We Are Ports website for research.
The Australia wide competition starts in Term 2 (April 2017) and continue for the remainder of the school year.
Ports Australia, in partnership with AUSMEPA, a leader in providing marine environment education programs to schools and communities, have teamed up with their Members in this nation-wide high school education program.
The We Are Ports high school education program complements Ports Australia's recently launched microsite www.WeArePorts.com.au which shows how Australian ports are advancing Australia.
