Have you ever wondered what happens to all the water when it rains? In our towns and cities much of the ground is covered by buildings, roads and paths. There is not enough uncovered soil to soak up the water.

Cities and towns have an underground network of stormwater drains. These drains are connected to the gutters along the roads and to the downpipes leading down from the roofs of our homes and buildings.
