Getting rid of unwanted household chemicals and waste engine oil is a big problem.  We can’t place these chemicals in rubbish bins and we must never pour them down the drain. Each State has its own laws and systems for disposing of household chemicals and engine oil. You may be able to find the information on the web, but you will probably need to find out by telephoning your local council.

They will inform you if a free service is available. The free service may be offered only once a year. It is big task. When you drive to the drop-off location, your chemical containers will be sorted. Once the chemicals are stockpiled, each kind of chemical will be safely transported to facilities that can safely dispose of them.
